Descripción De Producto

Common Use

Fusiderm B cream is used to treat inflamed skin conditions with a secondary bacterial infection, such as eczema, dermatitis, or infected insect bites. It combines a corticosteroid (betamethasone) to reduce inflammation and an antibiotic (fusidic acid) to fight bacterial infections.

Dosage and Direction

Apply a thin layer of Fusiderm B to the affected area 1–2 times daily, or as directed by your doctor. Avoid using it on broken skin or near the eyes, and wash hands after application.

Precautions

Prolonged use can lead to skin thinning or resistance to antibiotics. Use with caution in children and on large surface areas or under occlusive dressings.

Contraindications

Do not use Fusiderm B if you are allergic to betamethasone, fusidic acid, or any of the cream’s ingredients. It should not be used to treat fungal, viral, or tuberculosis-related skin infections.

Possible Side Effect

Common side effects may include mild irritation, burning, or itching at the application site. Long-term use can cause skin thinning, stretch marks, or hormonal effects.

Drug Interaction

Topical interactions are rare, but avoid using other strong corticosteroids or antibiotics on the same area unless prescribed. Inform your doctor about all topical and systemic medications you are using.

Missed Dose

If you forget to apply a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it's close to the next application time, skip the missed one—do not apply extra cream.

Overdose

Overuse can lead to systemic corticosteroid absorption or bacterial resistance. Contact a doctor if you experience unusual side effects or symptoms after excessive application.

Storage

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
